Sappi raw material offerings such as dissolving pulp, wood pulp, biomaterials and timber and end-use products ie packaging and speciality papers, graphic papers, casting and release papers and forestry products are manufactured from wood fibre sourced from sustainably managed forests and plantations, in production facilities powered, in many cases, with bio-energy from steam and existing waste streams.
Sappi Learnership is a structured learning programme that allows you to get the best of both worlds by combining both theoretical and practical elements. Their courses run in partnership with various FET Colleges and lead to a qualification that is registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Actually, they offer occupational learning programmes in the following areas (these may vary based on business needs):
- Process trainees
- Repairmen.
Sappi Learnership Requirements
To be eligible to enrol for this programme there is a minimum entry requirement to be considered.
- Grade 12 (Maths and Physical Science)/ N3 Pulp and Paper
- Relevant tertiary qualifications received from any institution.
- A Vaccine card
- A valid Driver’s license if required.
- A valid South Africa ID
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- No criminal record
