They are very interested in unlocking the agricultural potential in South Africa and across Africa as a whole. This will help ensure that Afgri has successful partnerships with other countries on the continent. they have a lot of experience working with agriculture in South Africa and the rest of Africa to drive food security.
Afgri Learnership is an exciting and diverse opportunity where talent is demonstrated within a healthy environment to achieve the organization’s strategy, shaped and supported by individuals who have the opportunity to live to their full potential. The programme is designed to help learners experience classroom and practical training in the workplace. If the candidates complete the programme, they will receive a Further Education and Training Certificate, registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on a Level 2 level.
Afgri Learnership Requirements.
The following are the minimum eligibility criteria required to possess to be considered for one of the Afgri learners programmes:
- Matriculants with mathematics and physical science (65% and above), Technical Mathematics (non-literacy), Technical Science, Engineering Graphics and Design.
- National Certificate Vocational L4 applicants with theoretical subjects are also welcome to apply.
- National Certificate (NQF Level 2-5) in the following field:
- Poultry Production.
- Animal Production.
- Crop production
- Extension services/mentorship
- Farming Planning
- Mixed farming system
- Farm business management for new-era farmers
- Maintain and adapt oral communication
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Should be based in the city of hire.
- Basic understanding of financial statements Layout.
- Computer literacy (MS Office and job-related programs).
- Legal and valid Driver’s license will add an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skils.
- Time management
- Unemployed youth
