The Toyota Learnership programme aims to meet unemployment challenges in South Africa with courage and creativity by allowing graduates to graduate in a work-based environment that helps them realize their dreams. They strive to improve both their business operations continuously and to always drive innovation but also improve individual career or professional growth. They prioritize going to the source to find the facts, making correct decisions, building consensus, and achieving their goals with haste without leaving behind inexperienced graduates recognizing the value of having a good workforce to continue to provide quality services.
Toyota’s learnership programme is handed towards candidates interested in mechanical trades its programme lasts for a total of 5 months and candidates will receive training in various technical disciplines. Upon completion, a successful candidate will be awarded an NQF level certificate level 2 as an advantage to the candidate that makes them much more employable and qualified. Toyota associates throughout the world are urged to take professional and personal responsibility for advancing the understanding and acceptance of the graduate’s career programmes.
Toyota Learnership Requirements
Interested Candidates need to meet Toyota’s entry requirements to be considered for the Toyota Learnership Programme
- National Technical Certificate [N3-N6]
- Matric/Technical Matric with Maths & Physical Science or Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory, or Motor trade Theory, Mechanical Drawing, Graphical Design
- No criminal record and Clean credit

- Accurate information gathering and analysis
- Perseverance
- Planning and Organizing Adaptability Analytical
- Good Communication skills
This is a learnership Programme where incumbents will complete the following training:
- Work in a team
- Safety Hand tools
- Assembly & manufacturing Drawing &
- Marking off Welding
- Operate & monitor production machines
- Prepare surfaces
- Fire fighting
- Operations & dispatch products

Toyota Learnership stipend
A monthly Toyota Learneship stipend allowance of R3,500 will be paid to the victorious candidates for the duration of the learnership.
