Scaw Metals is a International leading group of integrated steel producers in South Africa. In order to serve the mining, infrastructure, construction, offshore oil and gas, power, and other industrial sectors, they manufacture highly specialized products and vital consumable components. Although Scaw Metals’ headquarters are in South Africa, the company has operations throughout the world, including Australia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia.
Scaw Metals Learnership is a program offered to targeted individuals who are mainly unemployed youths in need of learning experience. Through this leanership, all accepted applicants will be given the chance to undergo theoretical knowledge classes as well as on-site practical training that will be held in the Scaw company. The candidate will receive the aforementioned qualification upon successful completion of the 12-month program,

Those who are interested in applying for this learnership post should make sure they fulfill the requirements listed below:
- Matric/Technical Grade 12 (Technical Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Currently registered for National Certificate Vocation Level 4 (NCV 4) at a Further Education and Training (FET) College.
- A Diploma or degree in the field applying for will be added an advantage.
- South African citizens between 18 and 30 years of age
- A Legal Identity Document book or ID card.

Note: Scaw Metals offers practical training in the form of P1 and P2 modules for students studying for Engineering Diplomas in Electrical, Mechanical Physical/ Extractive Metallurgy, Non-Destructive Testing, and Chemical Engineering disciplines. Students who have completed all their university S4 subjects can forward their applications together with their academic records and a letter from the university confirming their completion to HRGraduates@scaw.co.za.

Scaw Metals Learnership Stipend.
Successful candidates will receive a minimum amount as the Learnership Stipend covers expenses like travel and meals. This means the candidate will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership.
