South African Nationa Parks (SANParks) is a leading conservation authority that protects natural resources and ensures South African citizens benefit from their sustainable environment under the jurisdiction of the Department of Environmental Affairs, where SANParks is working to follow the government’s policies in line with the National Development Framework for Sustainable Development and the National Development Plan. The National Park System (SANParks) manages parks in seven of the nine provinces of South Africa. These parks have a total area of 4 million hectares and make up 67% of the protected areas under state management. SANParks is recognized as a world leader in conservation and protected area management.
SANParks Learnership is an opportunity offered to the candidate who wants to develop their career in the Natural Resource conservation industry. This programme is provided to candidates of the following field of study: Tourism and Marketing, Information Science in Multimedia, Public Relations, Human Resources, Office Management, Information Technology, Internal Auditing, and Finance. During this one-year programme, candidates will be provided mentorship based on theoretical training and work-based experience upon completion candidates will be provided with certifications.
SANParks Learnership Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria.
- Grade 12 certificate qualification or Equivalent.
- A Diploma or degree in the relevant field when necessary.
- Must be a citizen of South Africa or have valid work and possess an Identity Card.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license when essential.
- Excellent Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
- Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
