Prasa Learnership
Prasa (Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa) is a public entity wholly owned by the Government and reports to the Minister of Transport. The South African Transport Services Act of 2008 (as modified) Legal Succession Section 22 provides the framework for PRASA’s establishment. The legal mandate requires PRASA to provide long-distance (inter-city) train and bus services within, to, and from the borders of the Republic of South Africa, as well as commuter rail services throughout the country’s metropolitan areas. The Minister of Transport is consulted throughout the implementation of this mandate and provides guidance.

Prasa Learnership Stipend
