The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA)is an institution of education and learning, specializing in teaching the production and technical skills applicable to the TV, radio, and broadcasting industries. NEMISA was established as a non-profit institute for education in terms of the Companies Act (1973) and is listed as a public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (1999). its mandate was driven by the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT) as a result of two former departments, the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services and the Department of Communication. The merger happened in 2013, and DCDT was formed.
Nemisa Learnership is an opportunity to offer specialist competence in disciplines related to film and television production, interactive media, animation, graphic design, and radio production. Qualifying learners can make creative choices, display technical skills, generate content, work under direction, and make suggestions to those with creative decision-making powers. Nemisa Learnership Requirements
The basic requirements interested candidates should meet to ensure that they are being selected for the program are as follows:
- South African citizens with valid work permits and possess an Identity Card.
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- NQF Level 4 Related Qualification, Mathematics & English.
- Relevant diploma or degree certificate in the field of application or equivalent qualification.
- Communication and media background is advantageous.
- Basic computer literacy and typic skills.
- Demonstrate critical listening ability.

Nemisa Learnership Stipend
