GPG Learnership Programme
Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) is the Premier of the province and is a representative of the provincial legislature who is elected by the legislature. It is responsible for the implementation of provincial legislation, the implementation of national legislation, the development and implementation of provincial policy, the coordination of the functions of provincial administration and departments, and any other functions assigned to the Provincial Executive by the Constitution or by Parliament.
The Gauteng Provincial Government comprises numerous governmental departments including the Departments of: Agriculture and Rural Development; Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs; Community Safety; Economic Development; Education; e-government; Finance; Health; Human Settlements; Infrastructure Development; Social Development; Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation; Roads and Transport; Gauteng Treasury and Office of the Premier.

GPG Learnership Requirements
To be eligible for this learnership position candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must Completed Matric/Grade 12/NQF 4 Qualification or Equivalent
- Nation Diploma/Degree Qualification will be an added advantage.
- Must be a South African citizen
- Candidate of the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Valid Identity Document
- Valid driver’s licence when necessary
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae.
- Clear and Neat criminal record (criminal record vetting will be conducted)

GPG Learnership Closing Date.
Applications for the GPG Learnership must be submitted before the closing date as shown in relevant adverts. Applicants are advised to submit their application as soon as possible, as GPG will not accept applications submitted late. If there is no correspondence received within a month of the advertisement Consider your application unsuccessful
GPG Learnership Stipend.
Successful candidates will receive a minimum amount as the Learnership Stipend covers expenses like travel and meals. This means the candidate will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership. For the case of the GPG Programme, a successful candidate from each learnership candidate will receive a monthly stipend of R 3,000 during the 12-month learnership contract.
