City Power Learnership
City Power Johannesburg (SOC) Limited is an independent municipal entity wholly owned by the City of Johannesburg responsible for Appliances, Electrical, Electronics Manufacturing, and electricity distribution within its area of supply in the City of Johannesburg. The City Power objective is to help the City of Johannesburg address the security and quality of electricity supply challenge in the short term and to help address the energy supply challenge in the medium to long time, with acceptable quality and reliability standards and at affordable prices,
City Power Learnership is a program to recruit unemployed young graduates, with qualifications from accredited relevant institutions to help them develop their skills and knowledge for their successful future professional careers. City power partnership with the National Treasury (NT) extends an invitation to unemployed South African youth to participate in the Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Programme. City Power’s 12 monthly learnership programs will equip you with the knowledge and skills that will enable you to have a meaningful career.
City Power Learnership Requirements
To be considered for this city power Internship/learnership candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- South African citizens
- Aged between 18 and 35 years,
- Basic computer skills.
- All applicants are required to be certified in the following qualification levels:
- Completed Bachelors Degree
- Studying towards a bachelor’s Degree
- Completed National Diploma
- Studying towards a National Diploma
- Completed Higher Certificate
- Post National Senior Certificate Qualification
- Must have completed studies in the following disciplines:
- BSc / BEng / Bing / BTech Electrical Engineering
- BSc / BEng / Bing Civil Engineering
- BSc / National Diploma Quantity Surveyor
- ND Electrical Engineering

City Power Learnership Stipend
The successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend calculated at City Power remuneration rates for the entire City Power Internship/learnership period.
