Anglo American learnerships – Engineering Learnerships

For the Engineering Learnerships hereby are the minimum entry requirements are as follows:

• Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), or
• N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements or
• NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass

Trade Test Requirements

• A minimum of N2 Subjects/ certificate with applicable subjects for the relevant trade as specified
• Mathematics
• Engineering Science
• Relevant Trade Theory
• Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings or Plating Structural Drawings
• NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass

Anglo American learnerships–Mining Learnerships

six-months Mining Learnership Which basically focuses on trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) to the community main activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, operations are performed in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape. It will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job training in surface mining.  This program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your mining learnership programme, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as a future Drilling or Blasting Assistant and/or various Trackless Mobile Equipment.  

To be part of these interesting and Wonderful  teams needed to fulfill the following 

Anglo American learnerships Minimum qualification: 

• obtained a Grade 12 or Technical N3 with Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics.
• Physical Science will be advantageous. 
• A valid South African Driver’s License.  
• Successfully pass a VTA (Vienna Testing System) / (DOVER) and 
• obtain a Certificate of Fitness (medical assessment) before the mining learnership will commence.

Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore learnerships (Electrical Learnership)

Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore learnerships candidate will be responsible to pass an aptitude test, interview, as well as a medical assessment before the learnership, will commence. It’s a great opportunity for you to join our extraordinary team at Sishen Mine in a Three-year Artisan Learnership enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job/core training at Sishen Mine. This program will enable learners to maximize their potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your Artisan learnership program, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as an Artisan

Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore learnerships; Training Programs for Artisan Learners: 1st year: Institutional training at Sivos, Technical Training Centre. 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Sishen mine. 3rd year: Complete trade test.

Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore learnerships will need to have the following qualifications:

Minimum requirement 

• N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, 
• Electrical Trade Theory 
• Industrial Electronics as subjects

Anglo American Learnership Mogalakwena (Electrician, Millwright, and Control & Instrumentation)

Anglo American Learnership-Mogalakwena Mine; Three-year Artisan Learnership Program will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine. As you progress through your Artisan learnership program, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as an Artisan

Anglo American Learnership Mogalakwena Training Programs for Artisan Learners:

• 1st year: Institutional training at ESTC, Engineering Skills Training Centre.
• 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine.
• 3rd year: Complete trade test

Anglo American Learnership Mogalakwena Minimum Entry Requirements:

• Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), or

Additional information:
