The Styldrift platinum mine is a small underground producer of platinum group metals (PGMs) developed by the Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mine Joint Venture (BRPM JV), which is 67% owned by the mine’s operator, Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBplat), and 33% by Anglo Platinum. The Styldrift platinum mine is located in the north-west province of South Africa, Styldrift I and Styldrift II are two stages of the platinum project’s development. Beginning in March 2009, the R11bn (about $988m) Styldrift I project began production in 2015.
