Western Cape Government Child and Youth Care Learnership Requirements.
The following are the minimum requirements to become a Child & Youth Care Worker at Western Cape Government:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma/ Higher certificate or other qualification.
- Child and Youth Care Work.
- Social Work.
- Senior Certificate /Grade 12/Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A valid Driving licence.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Proven Communication (written and verbal) skills.
Other core competencies
- Proven English and maths literacy.
- Basic research and analytical skills.
- Presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to intervene and resolve conflict.
- Report writing skills.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Work effectively with social workers.

Western Cape Government Child and Youth Care Learnership Stipend.
Successful applicants will be required to enter into a work agreement and will be required to work for a period equal to the length of the learnership period as they will be receiving a monthly stipend upon completion.
