The Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) is a statutory body established and responsible for promoting skills development within the arts, culture and heritage sector, operating within the legal framework of the Skills Development Act. CATHSSETA conducts its activities within six (6) sub-sectors including Arts, Culture and Heritage; Conservation; Gaming and Lotteries; Hospitality; Sport, Recreation and Fitness; and Tourism and Travel Services.
Cathsseta Learnership/ Cathsseta Internship is a programme offered to talented young unemployed based on workplace training comprising both structured practical workplace and structured theoretical training in Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sports fields of study. The duration of a learnership is 12 months. The main aim of the CATHSSETA programme is to facilitate skills development through strategic partnerships to contribute to South Africa’s economic growth.
Cathsseta Learnership Requirements
To be eligible for the Learnership, you must have all the necessary qualifications and meet all the requirements before applying.
- Grade 11/12/Matric certificate Qualification or equivalent.
- Diploma or degree certificate or equivalent in the relevant field.
- Must be a South African citizen and possess an Identity Card.
- Must be 18 to 35 years old.
