This Learnership program will last up to 12 months in the various disciplines/fields of study as desired by the company. It’s a Programme that uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with hands-on training and leads to recognised qualification/certification. The Dischem program focuses on the development of complete professionals that can do well and excel in all areas. and which depict a positive attitude and energy to contribute to improving their career and image of Dis-Chem.

Dischem Learnership Requirements

To participate in the Dischem learnership program interested candidates shall comply with the following minimum requirements.

Matric or Grade 12 Qualification.
Must be Computer literate.
A diploma/Degree in a relevant field will be advantageous.
Must be a South African citizen.
Holding a valid driver’s license will be advantageous.

Other skills and Competence.

Willing and able to work retail hours.
Strong command of the English language. (written and oral)
Clear credit and criminal records.
Time management, deadline-driven, dealing with pressure.
Good communication skills, listening, customer service/focus,
Problem-solving, team player, conflict management.
Professional conduct, accountability, trustworthiness and honesty.
