Chieta Learnerships
The Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority(Chieta) is a statutory body that was established by The Skills Development Act 97 of 1998. Our purpose as a SETA is to facilitate skills development in the chemical industries sector and to ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through a number of initiatives by the SETA and the sector. CHIETA’s role in the sector is to facilitate skills development as well as to ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through various training initiatives in the chemical and manufacturing industries.
Chieta Learnership is looking for relevant candidates who can join the CHIETA team to assist in the provision of Skills Development and Training within the chemical and energy sectors. This learnership programme offered normally takes 12 months or more for unemployed youth with the aim of promoting employability in line with government policy as per National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III) objectives.

- Have a valid matric or grade 12 certification.
- Diploma, Degree or relevant Qualification within the field applied.

The Closing dates for these learnerships are varying for each field made available yearly Thus, usually Some Chieta Learnerships fields close in March or May, and others fields close in July or October. If no feedback is provided to you in 2weeks after the closing date, regard your application to be unsuccessful.
Chieta Learnerships Stipend.
A monthly stipend will be paid by Chieta to cover daily costs incurred during the Learnership period and will be determined in accordance with the level of qualification.
