The Department of Transport is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of people and goods across the country. They also manage the construction and development of national roads, airports, and public transportation. They are also in charge of ensuring traffic regulations are followed and issuing licenses for vehicles and parking spaces.
Department of Transport Learnership programme aims at increasing the number of skilled workers with exceptional expertise workforce to ensure South Africa is economically efficient as one of the national skills development strategies that focus on fighting the youth unemployment rate. Department of Transport Learnership Requirements
The Ideal candidates must meet the following minimum qualification to be selected:
- Grade 12/ Matric qualification or equivalent
- Clean criminal records.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literacy added advantage
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to learn and work beyond normal hours.

Department of transport learnership is online based whereby the candidate will be provided information on currently available positions through the department of transport career page on their website. Where candidates will be supposed to download a Z83 application form and fill in their detailed information and submit the application form which may be collected from the Department of Transport, 159 Struben Street, Forum Building or any Government department.

Department of Transport Learnership Stipend
The successful candidates who have met all the qualifications in the specified fields will be paid a monthly stipend approximated to R1750.00 per month for the full duration of the programme
